Christmas fairytale with Erdem

-

Once upon a time, there was a woman, who was wearing beautiful evening gown and she loved fashion. Her dress was full of sequins, embroideries, laces, floral prints and tied with silky ribbon. She wore simply updo, so you can saw her impressive earrings. Her makeup was soft and her natural beauty was obvious. Dress cut flattered her perfect figure, which was elegant and very feminine...Her shoes were amazing.  She was standing there, in a sophisticated pose with enigmatic look and she was holding her fur coat nonchalantly. This woman was emerging in your imagination constantly, but each time in a different form. Once in a softly muslin dress with ruffles and in frosty blue, another time in a sequin formal dress in sweet pink with floral embroideries..An author of this christmas fairytale full of gentility, celebration and mystery is Erdem. His pre-fall 2017 collection I called fairytale, because when I look at the models, I feel like being in one!

The legendary Coco´s tweed jacket

-

On the Internet you can find many advices about "must have" fashion pieces, which you definitely should have in your wardrobe- white shirt, well-fitting jeans, leather jacket or little black dress. There is no doubt, that these fashion pieces have changed the world and female beauty, too. A human creativity and innovation fascinate me a lot. It is great how the people can create something special from common things; something, which can completely rewrite our history. Fashion designers are trying to suprise and  shock you or get into the state of falling in love with them everyday.
When I say Coco Chanel, what do you imagine at first? This lady designed an incredible amount of clothes during her life and thanks to her attitude to fashion she opened the eyes to every woman, in a positive way. Her designs became legendary even though she took the inspirations from everything around her. Her legendary (tweed) jacket is also one of this case. When every woman wears it, she converts to the elegant and sophisticated lady  who is gentle and sexi, as well.

How was this jacket exactly discovered; how many hours takes its production and how to wear it properly? Continue with reading and you will find out more!

Colour it with Vogue and Karl Lagerfeld!

-

Life is like a colouring book. You never know, which colours you will finally use. Will the warm colours of luck and love dominate or will the cold ones bring to you depressed mood and a feeling of fear? As in life, so here is up to you, which colours you will choose and what picture you will decide to colour in.
Recently, so called "anti-stress colouring books"  were a big boom and I am not wondering why. It has been found out, that it is a great helper who banishes the anxiety, depression or exhaustion and they will not only calm you down, but also entertain you and  encourage your creative thinking. I love them my whole life. Especially I love that feeling, when I am holding the colourless picture and I am so excited to see its final version.

Madame Chic - book reviews

-

I have loved books since my childhood. I have a big collection of them at home and I take care of them like my treasure. My "latest loves" are definitely the Madame Chic books by Jennifer L. Scott. They did not catch my attention at a bookstore firstly. I took the first part - Lessons from Madame Chic and I smiled. I was curious about these "lessons".

An exclusive fashion show - celebrating 90 years of FENDI

-

A fairytale. This is the first word, that came into my mind, when I see Fendi fashion show for fall/ winter 2016-2017. At the same time, this fashion show was the 90th anniversary of the brand itself. In magical Rome (which is also the place where the first Fendi boutique ever was opened), Karl Lagerfeld together with Silvia Venturini Fendi  prepared for their 600 guests an exclusive fashion show, where a catwalk took the place across the historical fountain Di Trevi!
This italian fashion brand is known mostly for its production of fur and leather products. This brand is a family business, with five "Fendi sisters" in charge.

Les Journées Particulières LVMH 2016 - The secret world of 30 Avenue Montaigne

-

The famous 30 Avenue Montaigne street is one of the most magic places in the world. This is an address, where Christian Dior, a fashion designer, created his notorius fashion models (you had an opportunity to read about him on my blog HERE.). He is one of my the most favourite fashion designers ever, because he showed female beauty very smartly and with a charm. Remember his legendary New Look, which caused a fashion revolution in the world.

Bratislava fashion days (spring/summer) 2016

-

I love fashion shows - that moment of excitement when they call a fashion designer to the scene and you are waiting for his creations; that feeling when first model comes up and you get goosebumps and that great opportunity to see every detail of the clothes from the first row! I really enjoy admiring the fashion collections, diving into the different worlds of fashion designers, but sharing my experiences with you I like even more.
On April 13th - 15th, 2016 I did not miss Bratislava fashion days 2016 for spring/summer season, which took a place in a gorgeous Double Tree by Hilton hotel. The program was really varied - three days full of interesting fashion shows accompanied by great music show thanks to the music director Martin Valihora, and DJ DAVE.
In today´s article I will introduce to you the collections, which have inspired me the most!

My own handbag by Jenny Jeshko

-

One says, that a handbag is the woman´s best friend. I think this is true. The handbag is our faithful partner, who can go with us everywhere - have fun at the party, relax on the beach, chat with friend on coffee or discover the world. It stands by us when we are ill and tolerates  our massive range of used tissues, it stands by us when we are going to the expected date and we load it with kilos of makeup or it proves us that we are special. Every woman has got her dream handbag. One is waiting for Chanel her entire life, another one would kill for original Louis Vuitton´s handbag. I have got Jenny Jeshko! Thanks to this talented fashion designer (about whom you had an opportunity to read on my blog HERE ) I have found my dream one. This handbag perfectly describes my personality - it is elegant, but playful at the same time; normal and original, as well.

Retro-glam collection for MAC by CHARLOTTE OLYMPIA

-

Charlotte Olympia, a famous fashion designer, created a collection full of pin-up style, Hollywood glamour, red colour and well-known spider web for MAC cosmetic brand. Charlotte is a shoe and accessory designer and she looks like a Hollywood movie star from 40´s and 50´s to me. I adore her pin-up style - curls, red lips and atractive look. I also love MAC so I am really excited about this collaboration. So, what can we look forward to?

Garance Doré - Pardon my French/ Tokyo with Lady Dior

-

Garance Doré, a French illustrator, blogger and an eternal optimist, always gets me with her posts and the way she looks at the fashion world. I love her charm, laugh, natural beauty and chic style. I always enjoy her Pardon my French videos and I can not decide, whether it is her French accent or her energy I adore more. Today I will show you one specific video, which takes place in Tokyo. Although this video is cca 4 years old, it is still one of my the most favourite. It is full of crazy fashion, relax (do you feel those goosebumps?!), delicious Japanese food and one great idea -  Garance decided to travel to the most interesting places in Tokyo with her Lady Dior white handbag, which she also uses as her "memorable notes from the roads". The result is worth it!
The mentioned idea is what actually got me the most. It is awesome how the fashion can connect the people. Watch how the luxurious Lady Dior handbag can change into the creation of ordinary people with extraordinary heart...

Vogue 100: A Century of Style

-

Condé Nast editorship decided to bring Vogue magazine also into the United Kingdom during the First World War. The most practical solution was to create a special British edition, which could be produced directly in London. In 1916 the first copies were printed for sale. Even though the early editions tried to replicate the American Vogue exactly, however, its first editor, Elspeth Champcommunal, had bigger ambitions. She wanted Vogue to be "more than a fashion magazine", so she introduced articles on society, culture, sport, health, beauty and different travelogues, as well.

Vintage Bowles

-

Everybody likes collecting something. A man can make the rarity even from an ordinary thing, which is valued to him, because he owns it. But imagine those enthusiasts, who really collect  the rare pieces, which hide a little of our history and have their own story. What feeling it has to be, when this person - a collector has something what shaped and changed our whole history?
I love the history of  fashion and the concept of a vintage fashion fascinates me a lot, too. I have found a great man, who is not only a fashionlover (specifically of haute couture), but who also collects it! Todays article is about stunning Hamish Bowles and his documentary named Vintage Bowles. I very appreciate him, because he is lettered, sensitive and a real fashion and its history expert.

Vogue in motion

I was always interested in making of the fashion Bible named Vogue. When I am holding the issue, I am thinking about all the barriers and problems, which team of Anna Wintour  has to overcome. Todays article is about Petal Pushers editorial (American Vogue, March 2014 issue), which is full of energy and stunning flower outfits by different fashion designers. In the next documentary, Tabitha Simmons (Fashion Editor) and Virginia Smith (Market Director, Fashion & Accessories) will show you, what is needed to be done to make the result being worth it!

The Intern movie

-

The internship is an opportunity, which is very special. It gives you a space for showing your skills, flexibility, mettle and your originality, as well. Your dreams come true. However, work in a fashion industry is not only about wearing  the luxurious brand name clothes and drinking Starbucks coffee but mainly about hard work and neverending love for fashion. To understand  the all aspects of the fashion industry and also of the customer service and your bosses is very difficult. Everywhere you can read about advices how to get the mentioned internship after your school or before your star carreer and where to gain the necessary experiences.
What if  the chance got a man, who has already been skilled but because of his high age he is still  in his society seen as a "unnecessary"? This is the main idea of  The Intern movie, starring by stunning Robert de Niro and Anne Hathaway.

Fashion in Canada

-

I fell in love with Canada at the first sight. It is hard to define only one specific reason why. Last summer I spent three incredible  weeks in Vancouver and I got convinced, that this country (and this particular city) is a heart of  nice people, beautiful nature, an infinite number of opportunities and... fashion! Even though this is not Paris, New York (nevertheless a centre of the city is very similar to NY because of their skyscrapers and yellow cabs!), London or Milan, Vancouver is also a city of the fashion. Except for this city I will introduce you  Whistler and Toronto, as well. So, today´s article is about the places where I met fashion and where I got my breath taken away!
